MY  SHADOWS

Silence, silence, my dearest ones.
My lightest shadows, come to me. I am going to hug you one last time.

My most faithful friends,
tonight is your night to dance.

Dance and be happy.
We will have this night forever to remember
after our goodbye.

Don’t be sad.
We had a whole life together.
We had our rivers and our frozen lakes.
We had places for you to rest and nights for you to shine.

No one would ever be able to measure our dreams and our runs under the sky.

All right, all right, I will explain to you why I have to go.

I was searching for Him my whole life.
I was told He is the air we all breathe, the wind that brings both winter and spring, the sun that makes the water warm for baptism and whose eyes record our destinies.

I loved Him always, and no moment could have been peaceful without finding His steps.

Finally, He called my name. He said, “Come to Me, My child.”
He called me His child. My mission is over.

Everything is in the right place.

My only sadness is to leave you. Where I go, no shadows can come.

But tonight, let’s dance. Let us hug and dance, thinking only of the stars above our heads and the shining moon hidden in rainy puddles.

You know that you were my best friends here, my brief candles and faithful guards.
But you always knew this had to end, the story of these green fields and blue days.

I will keep the memories of us hidden deep in my heart.
..

Come, oh come, undress my future. Separate my shadows from me.
Never did I love your name, death, but always did I respect your power to remove the masks from our beginnings.
